Ken Wilson, a principal in the Washington, DC office whose portfolio includes architecture, interiors, graphics, and product design, is the only architect in the United States to have been named a Fellow in the AIA, International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and the Green Building Certification Institute. His projects have been published internationally and have received over 90 national and local design awards. In 2005 he was named “Designer of the Year” by Contract magazine, regarded as one of the industry’s highest honors.

Ken’s clients have included several of the nation’s leading environmental organizations as well as numerous socially responsible associations, nonprofits, and corporations. His projects include the IIDA headquarters in Chicago, offices for Al Gore in New York and Nashville, and the U.S. Green Building Council headquarters in Washington, DC.

Ken was a significant participant in the development of the original LEED rating system for both commercial interiors and core and shell projects. He founded the IIDA’s Sustainability Advisory Council and was chair of the AIA’s National Interior Architecture Advisory Group in 2011. He was the Founding Principal of Envision, a design firm focused on environmental responsibility, which was acquired by Perkins+Will in 2012.
